Abby: I like to show the world how brave I am, but the truth is, I am a bit shy. I guess I was a little bit rude to Ms. C's Mom yesterday, and I hissed at her. I did it even though I kept walking over to her to check her out. I just needed to warn her that I had to sniff her first. I mean, I am not one of those cats that runs and hides as soon as they arrived, I am way too curious for that! But people need to know their place. Cats first!
They brought us a present all the way from Prince Edward Island, so now we have some new, very luxurious bowls to eat from! They are almost as adorable as we are:

What fun to have visitors. We LOVE visitors! And those are great bowls!
But our big question is: when are Ms.C's parents coming to visit US?! We really want to meet them!

awww, what great gifts.
Hi Abby & Stygia,
I am following your adventures for a while an wanted to overcome my shyness and say hello. Abby, were you surprised yourself when you hissed at your mom's mom? It "happened" to me the other day that I hissed at my mom and we were both equally surprised.
You are so lucky to have each other to play with!

Sometimes visitors can be scarey, 'specially if you've never met them before.
Those are some kool bowls...almost too nice to eat off of (but we're sure you two will manage!).

aren't grandbeans the best? those bowls are awesome. i agree Abby, cats first, especially when it comes to petting by strangers.
i'm sure now you're all getting along wonderfully!
Those are pretty bowls!
Umm, who gets the big one?
We think if the grandbeans come with such nice presents for you, they must be cool grandbeans, and can be trusted. Evie loves new people and jumps up into their laps straight away. We are a bit more circumspect. When our grandbeans came to stay, we sat and watched them for a couple of days, before allowing them to touch us.
