Exhausted!

It's been a long day.

Ms. C took me to the vet today for a follow-up. I am doing a lot better, not sneezing nearly as much, but I refuse--do you hear me?--I REFUSE to take any pills, which are not for my sneezing but for my supposed parasites. I would rather resist, twist, close up my little throat, and run around foaming at the mouth. Ms. C has mentioned something about "fish flavored suspension" but as long as she is not talking about "pills," then I am not concerned.

At the vet, of course I have to go through more than my share of exhausting experiences. There were DOGS in the waiting room. They rudely took my temperature in my ear again, weighed me (I am not 5.9 pounds!), looked in my mouth and ears, rubbed my belly when I did not want it to be rubbed, and worst of all, they covered me with a towel and gave me a horrible shot! I don't have Leukemia, so I don't see why they have to shoot me about it! I was angry. I bit Ms. C to let her know that her patting wasn't going to comfort me (but not hard, just a warning!). I hissed when they gave me that shot, and I kept hissing till I got back into my carrier and crouched for safety in the back of it.

As soon as I got home, I had to trot around and inspect everything. I even got back into my carrier, but I came right back out and expected to be fed. Luckily, they were very understanding. So I am sure you can completely understand my exhaustion:

Poor little Abby. I wish I could introduce you to my vet who is the NICEST lady ever! I can understand how tired you feel. I hope those "suspensions" will taste so good you will be putting in special requests for them!

Poor little sweety! We are so sorry that your trip to the VET was so bad. You look so adorable sleeping on the couch!

We are sorry to hear you had to go to the vet. Taking pills isn't always bad, since frequently you get treats afterwards!

The v-e-t is always exhausting! You're lucky you don't have our Mom. She always gets the pill in no matter how hard we fight. She threatens to squish us with her fatness if we don't take them and that horrorfies us so much we freeze for just a little second and wham the pill is in. Fishie flavor sounds much better!

You go girl!!
The v-e-t needs to be told what's what. Especially that touchin' where no bean should be touchin'.

p.s. I liked your rhyme :)

Oh I now have a very well trained vet, I know 'cause I trained him! ;) He's careful where he puts his fingers and keeps telling me I'm beautiful - at least I know he's got good eye site! He's really good with my kittens too and my half-brother Ramses and the grumper Tigmut'hep. He's the fastest cat pill giver I know, heck even I can't spit faster than he can shove them in my mouth! ;)

Isis

That was exhausting, Abby! Have a good rest. Actually, sometimes just fighting off the pills is exhausting.

Abby

Trips to the Vet are exhausting and stressful. When Ping got back yesterday I went up to him and sniffed him and then I hissed at him. He smelled different. He scared me. But Ping has to take antibiotics for 7 days and this morning Mom and Dad tried to give him some at 4AM and they said that was a lot of fun. They have to do it again tonight...Ping doesn't think it's fun.
