Yes, I sleep with my eyes open. Sometimes they are just barely open, other times (as you can see here in Mr. R's chair), they are quite a bit more open than that:
Have I ever mentioned how much I love my mom, Ms. C? When I am not defending the house from errant sock rolls and shoes, I like to relax. Sometimes in Mr. R's chair, but often I like to lay on the cool mat at Ms. C's feet. It is even better if I can be touching her feet, too:
I hope you are not looking at my belly!!

We just love the way you are looking up at Ms.C. There is such total adoration in your eyes, and such a sense of ownership in the way your paw is resting on her! Both you and Ms.C are very lucky! And we still think your tummy is cute!

Aww touchy feet!! I sleep with my eyes open sometimes and it totally freaks the humans out. They have to poke me.

It's great to see you get some rest~!
It's very important for recovering!
I've given you an award. Please stop my blog to pick it up.
Oh, we are sorry, Abby. We were looking at your belly... just a little bit.
Abby, I am glad you are doing OK after your operation. Wearing a collar is no fun, but soon you will have that off too!
Smooches to you!
Oh sweetie, your belly is adorable! Are you feeling better?
But you have such a cute belly!
Abby
We are so alike. I love my Momma too and I love to lay at her feet when she is getting all purrtee in the morning for werk. I lay there and protect her. I guard her like she is 24 karat gold...she belongs to me and I tell all the other cats this all the time. You're very lucky that you don't have to share Ms.C with anyone -- life would be so much better for me if I didn't have to share. I love my Momma though and she loves me there is no doubt at all...

We love your belly - but we'll try not to stare. Glad to see you are recovering well!
Sleeping next to your mom is the best way to sleep. We like to do that too. We don't sleep with our eyes open tho.
