.... After the Big Day

I'm miserable.

Not only was I in a strange place overnight, away from my favorite folks, but the alien people who had captured me, well, they . . . I can't believe this . . . they shaved my belly.

And there are itchy little threads there, too. I was going to do something about them myself, so I made sure I did not show any interest in them in front of the aliens--what, Ms. C? They are called nurses, not aliens? OK . . . so I pretended I did not care about them and the nurses sent me home, where I immediately set to work on these strings stuck in my belly. Ms. C and Mr. R didn't seem to like it that I was pulling at them, so I tried to find a quiet corner in which I could be left alone to do my work.

Alas, as you can see, this only earned me another trip back to the alien place:

At least I can still eat and drink.

I am thankful that Ms. C and Mr. R rescued me from the terrible alien place so quickly. They are scratching my ears and chin for me, and I really feel safe under their desks. When I lay near Ms. C's foot, I like to be touching her feet with my own feet. It gives me a good and comforting feeling.

I hope all of you other folks are having a much better weekend than I am. I'm just glad that Ms. C is going to be home all week long to wait on me hand and paw.

Oh no's! How about a shaved tummy picture for tummy tuesday? I have a shaved tummy too from when they checked out my kidneys on ultra-sound. I might post a shaved belly picture on Tuesday too.

Oh no! You were abducted by aliens who shaved your belly and put that cone on your head. Thank goodness Mrs. C rescued you! I hope you feel better soon.

You've had quite an adventure, Abby! We're so glad to hear you're back home with Ms. C and Mr.R. Too bad about the... ahem... "frill", but that's what you get when you pull at alien strings.

Be good, Abby! We vote for a tummy shot too!!!

And in reply to Ms. C, yes we both like having our ears scritched!

Poor Abby. You'll be okay, sweetie. But your tummy will itch in a few days, and if you'll try to hide under the bed or someplace out of the way, you can itch your tummy. 'Course, as long as they've got that cone on your head, maybe you should make them scratch it for you!

I am very sorry you have to be a cone-head for a while. You should get many, many extra treats and pets and attentions.

Poor Abby! Was that the operation that all well cared for kittens get to keep them from being chased too much by the boy cats? If so, don't worry you will feel better very soon.

Glad your mom can stay home with you this week and I hope you get lots and lots of special treats;)
