It's HER fault....

Abby: It's her fault. Look at me, can't you tell right away that I am starving? What?! Whose fault, you ask?!

Yes, it's her fault. STYGIA. Just look at her, all curled up so peacefully on the cat condo. You can even see that she still has catnip on her head. She doesn't look like she is suffering. And, fat as she is, I don't think she is suffering at all. Oh, no, not at all!

What did she do? I know you are wondering. Well, you see, Stygia has been overeating. She eats even when she is not hungry. Believe it or not, when she arrived here in the middle of August, she only weighed around 7 pounds, and now she weighs ELEVEN pounds! Ms. C and Mr. R thought they had gotten an 'Oriental' type of cat, but they had never had one before, so they did not realize that her bones were actually jutting out of her famished frame.

Unfortunately, because Stygia hogs all of the food and is starting to have a jutting belly, Ms. C is limiting and snoopervising our feeding. Each of us has our own food bowl and our feeding times are to be strictly scheduled now, so she can know exactly who eats what and how much. It's not fair! I don't overeat, and I have no jutting belly. Yet, I love and trust Ms. C, and know she will not ever let me starve.

ANYWAY! Yesterday our friends over at The Poupounette presented their toes. Today I will show you a view of my own:

My toes are licorice colored, and almost as rough as Tom-Kun's toes, because I run around all day long. I even earned a new nickname last evening from Mr. R as I galloped across the room and leaped on to my glass-topped table and slid, almost sliding right off. "Whoa, Cowboy!" he exclaimed. Maybe he should have said COWGIRL, but what does it matter?! I was excited!

Ms. C asked that she be allowed to include this next picture of me, because she thought it was artistic:

In spite of our very different fur-coloration, you can see that my fat sister and I have similarly colored paw-pads. Maybe I can teach her a better way of seeing food, poor sis.

Abby
You have beautiful paw pads and your Mom did take a very artistic picture of you.

I like your rough paw-pads! Mine are kind of moist and sticky. I have to eat my food separately from Harley, because he gobbles his food, and I like to pick.

Oh no, diets are no fun!
Poor Styggie!

No one could resist that face of yours Abby. There is so much tabby and black feline goodness here and oh my, those paw pads.

Abby, I dream of lickable cats because I love licking other cats. I like the close company of cats. I am a licky lad.

My dearest Abby, I totally feel your pain. I do have to say that the Demon Cat is a little on the chunky side and that is because she eats way to many T-R-E-A-T-S. However, I have been helping out in that area. When dinner is served, I eat my portion. Then I muscle in and finish her portion. She doesn't appreciate it, but believe me, it's for her own good. I hope that helps. We all have to do our part.

Poor Stygia! So she's living TOO GOOD of a life? I didn't know that's possible. Sure it isn't floof?
Abby, your toes really are rough but very sweet at the same time!

Dear Abby,

We are so sorry to hear about your food service issues! #1 is beginning to appreciate the difficulties of feeding two cats that are different sizes, and she has even been making some threatening comments in my direction!!!

Thanks for the pawpad photos, and we just love the close-up of you Ms.C included!

Your Pal,

I feel your pain! Mom has cut both of our stinky goodness in half and our treats because Gandalf had gained some weight! That is Not Fair!

My dearest Abby,

Yes, it's true that I have quite a lovely singing voice. I'm not on the level of Elvis though, although it is certainly something to work towards in my musical career. I will try to get the massage therapist to record my rendition of "The Water Song" so that you can hear it.

As for the Demon Cat from Hell, she got the dreaded Snowglobe Treatment last night, although I've since heard the Massage Therapist intends to change the layout a bit and photoshop me in as well to use for Chrismas Cards. :P

Abby, I'm so sorry about the D-I-E-T. I know you've been doing your part to help Stygia get in lots of exercize too. I know Ms. C will not let you starve, and maybe she'll slip you a few extra treats when Stygia isn't looking. That is a wonderful artistic picture of your sweet little face.
